Change Management

Designed for Managers who are working with staff through change, whether through the growth or decline of the Organisation. This programme reviews the issues that are pertinent in these cases and gives managers the tool to manage the transitions and take the team forward in a positive manner.

Course outcome:

  • Understand change management and its importance.
  • Describe the importance of resiliency in the context of change, and employ strategies the individual change participant can use to foster resiliency
  • Explain the importance of flexibility in the context of change, and demonstrate methods the change leader and individual change participant can use to promote flexibility
  • Deal with change at work and the important steps to embracing change.
  • Change the way you feel and think about change.
  • Learn from the “Writings on the Wall” – anticipate, adapt, change the way you see change.
  • Examine the reasons for change and the effects it has on the organisations and the people who work in them. 
  • Discuss and identify the ways in which people react to change and how to manage the process of transition in themselves and others. 
  • Practise effective communication techniques including active listening and Questioning. 
  • Discuss and practise ways of utilising the power of the team.
  • Examine the role of the leader in managing staff through periods of transition and practise the key skills of giving feedback, counselling and influencing 
  • Examine techniques for increasing commitment in teams particularly during times of change.
